Bruno Nunes, the Portuguese forward who plays for Sporting CP in Portugal's top flight, has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee ligament injury.

The 24-year-old forward suffered the injury during training on Wednesday and underwent surgery to repair the damage. He is expected to be out for at least six months, which means he will miss the rest of the league campaign and possibly some of the club's upcoming competitions as well.
