Di Maria, the Argentine playmaker, is currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain to Portuguese club Benfica until June 2019.
The 28-year-old has been with PSG since he was just 17 years old and has made over 450 appearances for the club in all competitions. He has also won numerous individual awards during his time at the club including the Ligue 1 Golden Boot in 2013-14.
In January 2017, Di Maria joined Manchester United on loan for the remainder of the season, but he did not make any appearances for the club before returning to PSG. In May 2017,Primeira Liga Hotspots he signed a new contract with PSG, which will keep him at the club until 2021.
Despite being a talented player, Di Maria has struggled to find regular football since joining PSG and has only managed to make four Premier League appearances for Manchester United. However, it seems that he is now finding his feet at Benfica and is looking set to continue playing there next season.
